GO GREEN GIANTS & GRAY ZOMBIES!

The boys wanted to play soccer for the Fall so I signed them up at the end of Spring last school year before we knew we would be moving to Mukilteo, therefore we had to drive to Mill Creek every Saturday for both boys' practice/games.  It wasn't too big of a deal and I really enjoyed both of the teams they were on.  There were 6 kids on each team 3 on the field at a time and no goalies.  There was no official score keeping (neither of my boys knew or kept score- so different from their competitive Mommy!) and they had 30 minutes of practice each Saturday followed by a 30 minute game.

I know Jon wasn't too excited about having his Saturday's be structured but I loved it.  I grew up going to games (mine and my brothers'); and have always fantasized about evenings and weekends spent watching my children play one sport or another.  I love the team atmosphere and I love to watch my child having fun and developing new skills.  Both my boys came along throughout the season (not going to lie; the first practice/games were a little painful to witness but it got better); Ephraim even was awarded "Most Improved" by his coach and scored his first goal at the last game! I look forward to many years of this (in whatever sport/activity they choose)!
