Happy Birthday JON!

Jon turned 31 yesterday! I can't believe he is so old now; think I will have to upgrade here pretty soon. For his birthday he went go-cart racing with his buddies at a indoor track in Redmond and then the guys headed back to our place for some XBOX. He had a great time!

I am so grateful to have such a great man in my life. Jon works so hard for our family and would do anything (within lawful restrictions of course) to provide for us. He has come so far in his life and has worked for everything he has. I am so proud of where he is today in his professional as well as his spiritual life. He has such a strong testimony and a desire to better himself even if that means jumping some pride hurdles to get there. He has such a great love for his boys and loves to spend time with them and spoil them. And I don't know if I could ever find someone who loves me as much as he does. I am so lucky to have him for eternity!

Happy Birthday, Honey!

Kai turns 2!

Okay, so I am lame mother and don't have any pictures from Ephraim's 4th birthday, which was not that long ago. But we did have fun- we went to Jump Planet with the Higgins then to ice cream afterwards. It was a perfect party for Ephraim and I didn't have to worry about too much planning (which was great since I was feeling lousy at that point).

Some things about Ephraim (yeah, I know the title says Kai but I'm getting there so chill); Ephraim of course follows religiously his big brother and wants to play with and o pretty much everything he does. He loves cars, sweets, destroying things, and hanging out with his dad. Ephraim is such a sensitive and sweet little guy, he loves to snuggle and wants to make everyone happy. He can make the funniest expressions especially his sad and mad faces. We love you Eph, and are so happy that you came to our family!

Okay, on the Kai...We did a small home birthday for Kai with a couple of close families who we do Family Home Evening with. We ordered pizza and I made a race car cake. It was a nice quiet party- Kai loved it!

About my little Kai-guy. Kai is such a Mommy's boy (the only one I have really). He loves to snuggle and hug his mommy and he melts my heart every day. I have such a hard time disciplining him or being mad at him like I did his brothers at this terrible-two-tantrum phase. He loves to hug stuffed animals and totally adores my cat. I think the cats will gravitate towards him when he gets a bit older- as he often feeds them and pets Ash. He loves to read books and just have one-on-one goofy time. He is a major climber; getting into my things CONSTANTLY and no longer sleeps in his crib (because he won't stay in it). He likes to make funny faces and be silly to make you laugh. I will miss him as the baby! I love this little boy to the moon!!!

Mukilteo Beach

Some friends of ours gave us the great idea to do a bonfire at the beach. So, a few weeks ago we invited some good friends to meet us at Mukilteo Lighthouse Beach Park for a bonfire on the beach. We roasted hotdogs and marshmellows and got all sandy and sticky as we watched the sun go down- PURE HEAVEN!
Love these boys!!
Sunset Picture for my mom.
Ooey-gooey s'mores.

Matthew Scott/Jaden Bredensteiner is Here!

I am finally an Aunt! Jon's younger brother Matt and his wife Erica welcomed little Matthew into this world on Friday February 27th at 11am. Matthew weighed 7 lbs 11oz; which is huge for my tiny sister-in-law especially at two weeks early! He is so beautiful- it breaks my heart not to be there to smother him with hugs and kisses. I just love that my family is finally growing. Jon and I are the oldest in our families and therefore the first to have children. We look forward to more nieces and nephews and sister-in-laws in the future. Looking into this little guys face makes me so grateful that families are forever.

Sharing a little piece of us with you...
