Camping at Ensign Ranch

We go camping at Ensign Ranch for Memorial Day every year. This year we missed some of our friends and were a bit scattered but we still had a great time!

Our make-shift tent.
What would a camping trip be without forgetting something crucial- like the TENT POLES! When we got there it was super late (we were in traffic for years) and we discovered that the tent poles weren't in the tent bag- DISASTER! So, we set up our new (lucky Jon bought this right before we left) bug tent for over our table, covered it with our tent cover for a little privacy and slept in that. It really was no big deal except for the fact that bugs could crawl in from the sides where the tent touched the tarp we had laid down but other then that it was more funny then anything.

Kai got a mosquito bite that swelled his whole eye shut- this is day two of swelling so it isn't so bad- poor guy, he reacts to mosquitos just like his Mommy and Grammy do!

Our new tent (Jon had to drive pretty far!).

I have to say camping is my favorite activity to do with my family- we hope to do it a couple more times this summer.
